SASHA GIEDER (MIKSIS)

YOGA TEACHER, FOUNDER OMBOLDT

Sasha’s exuberant love for yoga shines through in every class she leads. With roots in Ashtanga and Baptiste Yoga, her classes are fiery yet grounding.  She began her yoga journey in 2004 and in 2012 became an E-RYT certified Yoga Alliance instructor. Sasha holds a B.A. in Human Development and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, specializing in both somatic mind/body therapy, trauma-informed care and perinatal mental health; she is currently accruing hours towards her Marriage and Family Therapist license. Sasha, most recently, completed a 40-hour training with Hala Khouri in Trauma-Informed Yoga (Somatic Experiencing) and uses this approach when teaching incarcerated youth and other groups of this nature. Sasha is a birth doula and is certified through Postpartum Support International as a perinatal mental health specialist; she utilizes these training modalities to support her pre/post-natal yoga classes, as well as in her private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Her hope in life is to improve the lives of those open and willing to roll out the mat and discover the magic of the Practice and what’s within. Yoga can be utilized as a tool to not only calm the body and mind, but also to alleviate symptoms of illness, both in the physical and beyond. Sasha finds her work in yoga to be that of a guide through the process of healing.

Her love for the practice and for those she has the pleasure of sharing it with is what energizes her teaching. If you love a lively and high-spirited practice that will bring you deeper into a grounded sense of self, you will love this class! Expect to breathe and flow through intentional sequencing and high energetic movement, all backed by upbeat and luminous playlists carefully mixed to awaken the power of what’s within. Her classes are appropriate for all practitioners who enjoy a physical challenge that leaves you feeling whole and alive!

ALEXANDRA ROSE

BUTI & YOGA TEACHER

Alexandra’s yoga journey started in 2008. The transformation and love that she received through her practice was immediate. She discovered Buti Yoga in 2016 and knew instantly that it was life-changing. Buti is not just a workout, it’s a chance to step on your mat and break away from any emotional or physical barriers you are holding. A moment to create, let go, connect, and sweat with an open heart.

She received her 200 YYT through Buti Yoga in 2016 and has been teaching ever since.

You can expect classes that are physically challenging, powerful, and grounding.

Alexandra wants her students to leave her classes feeling empowered, strengthened and opened into a greater sense of self.

JESS TRUDEAU

YOGA TEACHER

Jess Trudeau ERYT500, RYT 900 comes to the mat with nearly 2 decades of teaching experience since her first class to Mongolian women while in the Peace Corps. She has led teacher trainings, retreats, workshops, and classes worldwide. A practicing artist with a BFA in Fine Art she enjoys the creativity found in sequencing and empowers students to find strength, shelter, devotion, and voice through their movement practice. Her mantra is “move like yourself”, using yoga as a gateway to come home to oneself. She embodies the belief that until we give adequately to ourselves, shining light into our own souls, only then can we find the wealth of energy to give with true intention.

Her appreciation of sequencing and alignment draw from teaching and training at Laughing Lotus and Yogaworks NYC as well as studying with Blissology Bali and Heartwood Institute CA. The spark of empowerment through community is what motivates Jess to continue to teach and share this ancient practice.

Expect a joyful, energetic, upbeat class with creative and intelligent evolution of sequencing, including fun musical playlists to carry you toward inspiration on and off the mat! Modifications are welcome and the opportunity to explore postures with supported direction is given. A perfect balance of challenge and play, peak postures are carefully paired with corresponding asanas to safely guide you along your journey. Jess’s classes are open to all that want to deepen their practice.

JEN MADRONE

SPIRITUAL WELLNESS COACH, TEACHER, SOUND HEALER & REIKI MASTER

Dedicated to the healing and spiritual evolution of the planet,  Jen has been guiding others through the processes of healing and transformation for over 20 years.

She teaches and guides from experience.  Her personal journey of Awakening and egoic death have given her a deep understanding of, and respect for the transformational process.  Her own experience has taught her that this process is beautifully destructive and can leave the experiencer feeling completely lost, alone, and questioning their sanity.

From her love of sound healing she has learned that everything is in vibration, having its own unique frequency, and it is this innate frequency that holds the key to our healing and growth.  Through resonance we can we can change the ingrained patterns of trauma and suffering and reconnect with our authentic vibration to create a life of peace, passion and purpose.

Through the years, her work has also been deeply influenced by her love of indigenous healing and mysticism. Within all of these studies she has found a common thread of perennial wisdom~a deep understanding that inside each of us lies an infinite potential for complete healing and deep transformation.

PEGGY PROFANT

C-IAYT Yoga Therapist | Certified Life Coach: Coach Training Alliance-Yoga2Life | Yoga Alliance ERYT500, YACEP | Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher | Founded World Family Yoga, retreats for families | Founded Om Shala Yoga

Peggy believes we are all perfect beings, even with our “imperfections”, and that there is a place inside us that has an eternal spark of absolute pure goodness, wisdom and joy.

She feels our job is to find that spark that we all share, let go of that which doesn’t resonate and align with our authenticity true calling. This enables you to serve without feeling depleted.

Life can be hard, excruciatingly so, and there is nothing that can protect us from the grief of loss or the heartbreak of betrayal. The good news is there is a map within you. This map gives you access to an inner compass that leads you to walk you down a path where life is full of joy and beauty, poetic and playful.

Yoga philosophy gives Peggy a map that guides her to navigate through the myriad of circumstances, to recover, gain wisdom and compassion. This inner compass gave her the capacity to love more deeply, which is the greatest joy of being human!

SUZANNE DUNNING

YOGA TEACHER, FOUNDER TOSHA YOGA

Suzanne was first introduced to the magic of yoga by her mother when she was a little girl. As a teenager she began attending Ashtanga classes and a few years later teaching her fellow high school students.

Her first teachers included Shiva Rea and Lori Snyder.  She first officially trained in 2005 with Alice Joanou, a Vinyasa teacher in the TKV Desikachar lineage. And with Christopher (Hareesh) Wallis and Christopher Tompkins in meditation and Tantra. Later with Leslie Kaminoff of The Breathing Project in New York and still later with Tom Meyers of Anatomy Trains.

She has a degree in Integrative Medicine from UC Berkeley where she worked and studied with teachers such as Michael Pollan, Jack Kornfield, and Joanna Macy while writing her thesis on ancestral recipes for healing.

Suzanne has steeped herself in the study of Ayurveda and aromatherapy and plant medicine for over 20 years. She became a clinically trained herbalist through the Northwest School for Botanical Studies in 2009.

Suzanne’s heart is devoted to the disarming power of beauty- to the world of culinary flavor, the spectrum of the emotional scent landscape, and the insistence of poetry to strip us of our defenses.

I believe that the universe needs us to create beauty in the best way we know how and without any attachment to the outcome. There is no greater beauty than actions fueled by pure hope- occasions and opportunities that demand that we leap into the darkness and see what happens. My hope is that Tosha will be a refuge....that you will find inspiration here....that you will find solace here, and in doing so, come to know your heart better.
